Easter is a festive occasion in the United States and celebrated on a large scale. This event is marked by different traditions and one of them is to give presents to your loved ones. For Easter, many parents give sweets and chocolates to their children, but also partners and friends often give each other gifts on this holiday. But really, how much do U.S. consumers spend on Easter presents?

Among U.S. respondents at the age of 18 to 64 who in general give presents for Easter, almost three quarter are going to spend in excess of US$15 on Easter gifts, while one fifth of the respondents are unsure about their Easter gift expenditures.

Easter spending
Easter shopping has turned into a billion-dollar market. As of 2019, U.S. consumers planned to spend billions of dollars on various Easter-related products, with no category getting more attention than Easter food. One reason behind this could be the fact that Easter brunch or dinner is an important part of many people’s Easter ritual.
