Think beer, think Corona and Bud Light

With 87 percent brand awareness each, Corona and Bud Light are the most well-known beer brands in the United States. The third spot on this list is shared between Budweiser and Heineken, as both are recognized by 85 percent of surveyed consumers. Other well-recognized beer brands in the U.S. include Miller, Coors, and Michelob, to name a few. Meanwhile, brands like Brooklyn Brewery and New Belgium Brewing have room to grow in our beer brand recognition ranking, as both are recognized by less than one-third of consumers in the United States.

Corona tops the beer popularity ranking

Corona is the most popular beer brand in the United States, with 35 percent of respondents liking it, followed by Bud Light. Blue Moon, Brooklyn Brewery, Heineken, and Budweiser share the third spot in the popularity ranking. Brands like Guiness, Miller, Stella Artois, and Beck's trail behind in terms of consumer preference.

They who drink beer drink AB InBev

Three of the top four beer brands with the highest consumption share in the United States are owned by the Belgian company AB InBev. This includes top-ranked Corona, joint second-placed Bud Light, and fourth-ranked Budweiser. Brooklyn Brewery, while having the lowest brand awareness in our survey, shows an impressive consumption share: 30 percent of respondents who know the brand drink it.
