The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) spent more than 193 million U.S. dollars on the organization of Copa Libertadores in 2021. As displayed in the graph, the second tournament with the highest spending by CONMEBOL that year was the Copa Sudamericana, with nearly 80 million dollars in expenses.
