Mexico: cities with most air pollution 2019

Toluca, the capital city of Mexico's central State of Mexico, was the most polluted city in the country in 2019, based on fine air particulate matter concentration (PM2.5). Throughout the year, the city had an average particulate matter concentration of 29.4 micrograms per cubic meter. The World Health Organization's air quality standards recommend a maximum annual average concentration of 10 μg/m³. Mexico's capital, Mexico City reported an average particulate matter concentration (PM2.5) of 20.5 μg/m³ that year.
