Cigarette smoking status of Russians in 2018, by age

The largest share of smokers in Russia in 2018 were aged between 35 and 44 years old. In this group, approximately 30 percent of the respondents smoked daily, and 6.4 percent consumed tobacco rarely. Among the population older than 70 years, nearly seven percent were daily smokers.
