Cigarette smoking status of Russians in 2022, by age
The largest share of smokers in Russia in 2022 were aged between 35 and 44 years old. In this group, approximately 28 percent of the respondents smoked daily, and about eight percent consumed tobacco rarely. Among the population older than 70 years, 6.5 percent were daily smokers.
