In terms of improving transportation and mobility in smart city development, 57 percent of surveyed residents stated that this requires an improved walkability and safety for pedestrians, followed by 55 percent who claimed that construction more rail and underground transport links is needed. The latter issue was most important for Melbourne and Hong Kong residents.
