Share of male consumers of alcohol in India 2017-2018 by state
According to a survey on substance use in India between December 2017 and October 2018, over half of the total alcohol users are males. In Tripura, over 62 percent of males consumed alcohol during the surveyed time period, compared to 34.7 percent of total users in the state. Overall, men had the highest share of alcohol use across the country.
