Annual budget of JAXA FY 2010-2019

In the fiscal year 2019, the initial budget of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) amounted to approximately 155.6 billion Japanese yen. While the initial budget has consecutively decreased in almost every single year until fiscal year 2018, the supplementary budget has more than doubled from fiscal year 2010 to fiscal year 2018. Among others, JAXA operates the Hayabusa 2 project, a mission designated to collect samples from the asteroid 162173 Ryugu.
