China: luxury tourism revenue 2019-2023, by origon

China’s luxury tourism could experience a decline in revenue of approximately 37 percent by the end of 2020, according to a Statista study published on the topic earlier that year. This Chinese tourism segment, however, could rapidly recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, by surpassing in 2021 the revenue generated in 2019. That year, China generated 90 billion U.S. dollars from domestic luxury tourism and 19 billion dollars more from international luxury tourism.
