According to a 2018 survey, Democrats are much more likely to have positive views towards legal immigration into the U.S., with 50 percent of respondents who identify with the liberal wing of the Democratic Party believing legal immigration should be increased above its current level. This compares to 21 percent respondents who identified with the conservative wing of the Republican Party.
