India: economic contribution of turmeric from Assam

Turmeric from Assam accounted for over two billion Indian rupees in the Indian economy in fiscal year 2020. This value was slightly higher than the previous year's contribution of turmeric from the state. Telangana was the largest contributor for turmeric to the agricultural gross value added among other states in the south Asian country, followed by Maharashtra.
