Generation of electricity in Poland 1990-2018, by fuel type

In 2018, the main source of energy for electricity generation in Poland was coal, obtaining almost 133 terawatt-hours of power from this source. Year after year, however, the use of renewable energy sources in electricity generation, such as wind or solar energy, is increasing. The most significant increase was recorded in the generation of electricity from natural gas, wherein 2018, the volume of TWh produced almost doubled in relation to the previous year.
