Average price of power imports to France 2015-2021

The average price of electricity imported to France skyrocketed to almost 144 euros per megawatt-hour in 2021, around 100 euros per megawatt-hour more than in in the previous year. Electricity imports to France peaked in 2021, probably as a consequence of the frequent power outages of the French nuclear fleet. In France, monthly electricity price kept rising in 2021 and 2022 because of the worldwide energy crisis.
