Urban and rural population in China 2022, by region
In 2022, the ratio of urban to rural population varied greatly in different provinces of China. While Guangdong province had an urban population of around 94.7 million and a rural population of 31.9 million, Tibet had an urban population of only 1.4 million, but a rural population of around 2.3 million.
