Natural population growth rate in China 2019, by region

In 2019, the natural growth rate of the population in the provinces of China varied between -1.01 per mille in Heilongjiang province and 10.14 per mille in Tibet. The natural growth rate is the difference between the birth rate and the death rate of a certain region. This measure excludes the direct effects of migration, but as migrants are often relatively young and still in their child-bearing age, migration may positively effect the birth rate in regions receiving immigrants and negatively effect the birth rate in regions facing emigration.
