In 2018, Brazil was one of the leading countries in consumption of alcoholic beverages in the world. In that year, sales of alcoholic drinks in the country attained a value of 189.5 billion Brazilian reals, and were estimated to reach 200.9 billion reals by the end of 2019. Within the industry the most popular drink is beer, with Skol as the most consumed brand.
