Average milk yield per cow in Belgium 2000-2019

Between 2000 and 2019, the average milk yield per cow in Belgium increased. The milk yield peaked in 2019, at more than eight thousand kilos per cow. This was 2,500 kilos more than the average yield had been in 2000. Cows in the Netherlands had the highest average yield of the three Benelux countries, at nearly 8,900 kilos. In 2019, the average cow in Luxembourg produced roughly 7,800 kilos of milk.
