Electricity demand reductions in Europe during COVID-19 lockdown by country 2020

The majority of European nations experienced government imposed lockdowns to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This in turn had a major impact on the electricity industry, with demand dropping across the continent. Between March 28 and April 30 2020, Italy saw electricity demand drop 23 percent when compared to the same period in 2019.
