Due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several companies of the tourism industry in Italy could face the risk of closing down permanently in 2020. According to the estimates, 16 percent of all restaurants and bars are projected to be at risk of closing definitely during the year. Moreover, about 13 percent of businesses in the accommodations sector are forecasted to probably shut down in 2020.
