Contactless payments in Czechia were worth nearly 600 billion Czech crowns in 2019, making it the most used card-based payment method in the country. Credit card transactions were used much less, as these reached an overall value of 106 billion Czech crowns. This number number both domestic transactions as well transactions abroad. Contactless payments are increasingly becoming important in the Central Eastern European country, after this payment method successfully launched in domestic public transportation.
