According to a survey in June 2020, 18 percent of U.S. adults aged over 65 years strongly disapproved of the Supreme Court's decision that Title VII prohibits discrimination against workers because of their sexual orientation or transgender status, meaning LGBTQ workers can no longer be fired for their sexual orientation or transgender status. This compares to seven percent of respondents aged between 18 and 29 years. However, a clear majority of Americans across all age groups approved of this decision.
