Production of lint cotton in South Africa 2010-2019
As of 2018/2019, the lint cotton production in South Africa amounted to 24 thousand metric tons, representing a slight increase of 1.7 percent from the preceding year. Between 2010 and 2019, the production fluctuated between 6.11 and 23.6 thousand metric tons. Furthermore, the production faced decreases in 2011/2012, 2012/2013, and 2015/2016 of roughly 28.8, 52.3, and 47.05 percent, respectively.
