Between 1945 and 2021, some 3.06 million metric tons of uranium has been produced worldwide. Of the world's producers, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan combined have produced the largest volume of uranium, with a total cumulative output of 568,268 metric tons as of 2021. This was closely followed by Canada's production. Kazakhstan is home to the world's leading uranium mining company KazAtomProm.
