Export volume of sisal in Tanzania 2019-2021
As of March 2021, Tanzania exported 600 metric tons of sisal, a decrease by 1,000 metric tons compared to the previous month. In September 2020, the export volume of sisal was measured at 2.2 thousand metric tons. Tanzania is the second largest sisal producer in the world. The plant produces a fiber mainly used to make ropes and mats.
