
Value of production of prunes from South Africa 2000-2018
In 2017/2018, the preliminary value of production of prunes in South Africa was roughly 44.5 million South African rands (this is equivalent to approximately 2.56 million U.S. dollars), which represented a slight drop of roughly three percent from the previous year. Between 2000 and 2005, the prunes production value rose significantly by 247.2 percent, before dropping by 52.5 percent in 2005/2006.
