French startups: level of confidence in the government

The fact that the President of the French Republic promoted the benefits of "Startup Nation" and announced the creation of a disruptive innovation fund, showed the French effort for innovation and crossing new frontiers. Startuppers overwhelmingly trusted the government to support entrepreneurship and make their life as an entrepreneur easier in 2018. Almost 22 percent of the respondents trusted the government completely and 53 percent were rather trustful.

The companies solicited come from a database of early stage French startups covering all of the territory. With some follow-up actions by email or telephone, 217 responses from entrepreneurs covering all sectors of activity were collected during this period. Privileged targets were the young starters."
