Colombia: diabetes mellitus prevalence 2017, by gender

In 2017, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus among the women in Colombia was higher than among men. Out of 100 inhabitants of Colombia, 2.4 women had the disease, while two men per 100 population were affected. In 2020, diabetes mellitus was one of the Latin American country's main causes of death, taking the lives of 957 women and 821 men.
