Airbnb, a home sharing economy platform, gives users an alternative to traditional hotel accommodation by allowing them to rent accommodation from people who are willing to share their homes. The platform also allows consumers to book "experiences" in the regions they visit. In 2023, Airbnb reported over 448 million booked nights and experiences, an increase of 14 percent over the previous year.
