Peru: venture capital investments 2020, by sector
Educational technology (Edtech) accounted for more than one third of the venture capital investments that took place in Peru in the first semester of 2020. In that same period, fintech startups accounted for only 7.1 percent of the funding. As of June 2020, nearly 97 percent of the fintech startups in Peru were based in the country's capital.
