
Tuberculosis incidence in Latin America & the Caribbean 2021, by country
In 2021, Haiti had the highest incidence of tuberculosis in Latin America and the Caribbean, with around 159 new cases per 100,000 population reported that year. Meanwhile, Peru ranked second with 130 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants that same year. In contrast, Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, and Barbados registered the lowest tuberculosis incidence per 100,000 people in the region in 2021.
