Measles, mumps, and rubella cases in Latin America & the Caribbean 2010-2021
In 2021, there were over 14 thousand new cases of mumps and measles in Latin America and the Caribbean. By that time, no cases of rubella were registered in the region. Out of these three diseases, mumps was the most common, accounting for more than 95 percent of the total combined cases. That same year, the Latin American country with the highest incidence of mumps was Colombia, with over three thousand cases.
