
HPV vaccination coverage in Latin America & the Caribbean 2020, by country
In 2020, Chile exhibited the highest coverage rate of the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 74 percent of 15-year-old girls immunized against it. Brazil followed, with a HPV vaccination coverage rate of 72 percent that year. In contrast, less than ten percent of teenaged girls in the Dominican Republic, Barbados, Mexico, and Suriname had received the recommended doses of the HPV vaccine.
