Ghana: foreign direct investment inflow to agriculture

As of 2018, the foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow to agriculture in Ghana added up to 8.58 million U.S. dollars, as against the 6.71 million U.S. dollars the previous year. In the period under review, the FDI to the sector fluctuated significantly, albeit generally followed a downward trend. This notwithstanding, 2011 registered an FDI value of over 626 million U.S. dollars to the industry, from approximately 298 the preceding year. Furthermore, in 2018, Ghana's total FDI stood at 2.99 billion U.S. dollars, and agriculture covered 18.27 percent of Ghana's total GDP.
