Annual motor vehicles fiscal income in selected European Union countries 2020
Germany earned the highest fiscal income from motor vehicles in the European Union, with around 89.7 billion euros collected in 2020. For all reported countries, most of the revenue came from taxes on fuels and other lubricants used in motor vehicles, with only a small portion of the income coming from sales and registration taxes.
