Monthly income of pensioners in Italy 2019, by gender
Male pensioners in Italy have higher incomes than female pensioners. As of 2019, 23.1 percent of pensioners in Italy received monthly between 500 euros and 999 euros, representing the most common income among pensioners. Female pensioners made up 30.1 percent of this group, while males accounted for about half. In addition, female pensioners were slightly more likely to be paid the lowest income, which amounts up to 499 euros.
