Household structures in Italy 2023

In Italy, households without a nucleus represented around 37 percent of all households in 2023. Households without a nucleus are people living alone, families composed of, e.g., two sisters, a parent living with a separated, widow or divorced child, etc. On the other hand, around 30 percent of all households in the country were couples with children.
