The highest growth was seen in 2020 for low-end temperature measurement applications, which almost doubled in size from 2019.
Thermal detectors used in low-end temperature measurements consist of a thermal infrared camera that enables quick reading of a person's body temperature without any contact. This fast measurement of body temperature helps detect fever, which is also a symptom of COVID-19. Thus these devices are used extensively as preliminary screening measures worldwide by governmental agencies and large companies.
