Refined copper production in leading countries 2020
In 2020, China was the leading refined copper producer, dwarfing all other countries with over ten million metric tons of the metal produced. This represented close to 42 percent of the world's total refined copper production. The country was followed by Chile and Japan, with respective refined production amounting to 2.3 and under 1.6 million metric tons.
