The Indianapolis 500, more commonly known as the Indy 500, is an annual automobile race traditionally held over Memorial Day weekend at the end of May. The event is part of the IndyCar series and is considered part of the unofficial Triple Crown of Motorsport, alongside the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Monaco Grand Prix. Approximately 5.55 million TV viewers tuned into the 2021 Indy 500, which was won by Hélio Castroneves for a record-tying fourth time.
