Value of IPO proceeds in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa 2019-2021

The value of proceeds of initial public offerings (IPOs) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) decreased from 2019 to 2020. The value of IPO proceeds in the EMEA region declined from approximately 53 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to approximately 27 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. Conversely, when considering IPO volume over this period, there were more IPOs recorded in 2020 than in 2019. In 2021, IPO proceeds increased and amounted to a total value of 99 billion U.S. dollars.
