Between the first half of 2020 and 2021, the number of IPOs in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa - also known as the EMEIA region - increased by 158 percent. Meanwhile, the global increase amounted to 64 percent over the same period. The year-on year growth of IPO proceeds in each region exceeded the growth in the number of IPOs.
