Distribution of IPOs in the U.S. 2014-2022, by size
In 2022, over 70 percent of all IPOs in the United States were below 50 million U.S. dollars. This represents a dramatic change compared to the previous years. In 2021, for instance, more than one third of IPOs in the United States were larger than 250 million U.S. dollars, and 19 percent were smaller than 50 million U.S. dollars. As a consequence, the average size of U.S. IPOs also decreased dramatically in 2022.
