In 2021, metallurgical coal accounted for the largest share of the net revenue of the British Columbian mining industry, at nearly 47 percent. The second-largest revenue-generating mineral commodity for B.C. that year was copper, which accounted for 25.8 percent of the B.C. mining industry's net revenue.
