Infrastructure investment as share of GDP in Brazil 2020, by sector
In 2020, investments in infrastructure in Brazil amounted to approximately 1.67 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) that year. The electricity sector received the largest volume of investments, amounting to 0.76 percent of the GDP. Meanwhile, investments in sanitation were the lowest, adding up to a GDP share of less than 0.2 percent. That same year, most of the spending in infrastructure investment in Brazil came from private sources.
