Brazil: government investment in infrastructure 2010-2021, as share of GDP
In 2020, investments by the federal government in infrastructure in Brazil were expected to reach the lowest figure in at least one decade when compared to the country's gross domestic product (GDP), with a share of 0.3 percent. This figure was forecast to drop further in 2021, adding up to 0.1 percent of Brazil's GDP. In 2019, public spending accounted for less than one third of infrastructure investments in the country.
