Japan: employment rate by age 1973-2022

In 2022, around 87 percent of the population aged 25 to 34 years and 45 to 54 years old in Japan were employed. The employment rate of people aged 65 and older increased to over 25 percent, representing the three-year consecutive highest point during the last 30 years.
