Highest paid MLB players 2022

Max Scherzer of the New York Mets was the highest earning baseball player in Major League Baseball in 2022. The pitcher signed a new contract in December 2021 which paid him 58.3 million U.S. dollars in salary. Scherzer's off-the-field partnerships with Nike and Rawlings also earned him a further one million U.S. dollars.
