Commercial property refers to commercial land with buildings divided into the categories retail, office, warehouse, factory, apartments (entire buildings), in addition to commercial land and industrial land.

The index is calculated on the basis of data collected through the System to Provide Real Estate Transaction Price Data (Land General Information System) operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. It is based on transactions between private entities.
