Decrease in remittances due to COVID-19 in North Africa 2020, by country
As of 2020, Egypt was the North African country with the highest decrease in remittances from workers abroad and capital flows as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as those sank by 10.2 percent. Morocco and Tunisia followed with an estimated 5.9 percent and 4.8 percent decrease in remittances, respectively.
