Consumers' reasons for buying D2C in the UK 2020
In the United Kingdom, the reasons why D2C appeals to consumers are many. For example, a quarter of consumers (26 percent) believe that dealing with the manufacturer will make returns or processing warranty claims easier. Another 23 percent perceive they will get better customer service or think that direct-to-consumer deliveries are faster. The main perceived benefit among UK consumers, though, is value. Around 36 percent of purchasers believe D2C offers a cheaper deal. The second most commonly cited benefit among shoppers is particularly heartening for producers: 32 percent say they want to support UK manufacturers during the tough economic climate.
